Do you like to travel or learn different languages or desire to learn or experience how different cultures live?

While traveling to another country can be exciting, you can find yourself in a world of differences that can help or hinder your goal for being there.  It is generally a good practice to know ahead of time the do’s and don’ts of that culture and be a great observer.  It is also good to keep in mind that you are a visitor in their country and to be respectful.

Both Les & Catherine have had privilege of serving in the three countries above with a unique calling on their lives in a long-term, full-time capacity, and a vision to “Go…” and further God’s cultural kingdom to the above under-developed parts of these countries.

Matthew 28:19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

What is so unique about our approach?

Our Vision

Laborers With Christ (LWC) is a non-profit, tax-deductible mission organization whose purpose is to reach one Tribe, one Tongue, one People, and one Nation at a time with this two-handed gospel. The two-handed gospel involves both the physical and spiritual needs of the world.  Our desire is to offer faith, hope, love, and peace.

Often in the Bible, we can see this example of Jesus. His ministry reached out to touch the physical needs around Him as well as to the spiritual needs of man.

Our Mission

The physical aspect of the ministry of LWC entails an agricultural and nutritional vision. This vision is to advance the health and wellbeing of the poor and needy, widow and orphan, and others through presenting an understanding of a healthy lifestyle change through nutrition and agriculture. LWC accomplishes this by establishing a research project through a program called FAAGRIC (Faith Agriculture) Research for the small farmer.

One can gain so much wisdom and value from the scriptural point of view regarding agriculture and nutrition. We take a look at the concepts of sowing and reaping, the miracle of life, and of spiritual rebirth to name a few.

On the spiritual side, we focus on the truth of the Gospel, and using the word of God to instruct on the importance of a relationship with Jesus Christ in a variety of ways.

Our Strategy:
  •      We observe the culture and learn from them.
  •      Along the way, we begin building relationships of trust.
  •      Once trust is established, we begin sharing about self-sustainable agriculture and nutrition with the “two-handed gospel”.
  •      In the end, our goal is to pass the vision and knowledge on to the nationals, training them to carry on without us “working  ourselves out of a job.”
  •      Achieving this desired goal allows us to then move on to the next needy area.

Any time a white man reaches out in 3rd world countries, there is a stereotype put on the people they serve.  We call it “the white man’s curse”.  The surrounding population looks at their brothers differently.  Please pray for those we work so closely with.

Thank you for taking the time to stop by and visit our website! We pray that you are inspired as you read about LWC past and present ministry and that you, too, will find a way to serve Him as well.
