Engaging in research of the climate and mindset of the people is our objective to gain an understanding of the best way to apply self-sustainable agriculture to benefit the poor and needy, hungry and destitute.
In Genesis man is commanded to take dominion of the earth and its resources. Maintaining the health and productivity of the environment is essential for many of our human needs. The five themes expressed below give a snapshot picture of our physical mandates as a ministry:
Themes of Stewardship
Gen. 2:15 explores the concepts of stewardship
stating that the LORD God took the man, and put him
into the Garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it.
Economic Themes
This has a great potential to improve the economy of
those who practice it. The local farmer gets paid for
his work and must be paid enough to care his family,
for the land, and the creatures over which he has
dominion.
Community Sense of Godliness and Wellness
A healthy sense of community is put into practice. The
Ten Commandments and the two
great command-
ments (to love God and to love our neighbor) speak
directly to social and community concerns.
Sustainable Food System
Through FAAGRIC’S programs we endeavor to improve
the process of creating a more sustainable food
system not only for the present needs but for the
future needs as well.
It is our desire to bring awareness of the benefits of
physical well being through proper nutrition and
health care to underdeveloped areas. Passing down
the techniques we teach will help prepare the present
generation and the future generation for its physical
needs.
This fulfills one of our goals as LWC to encourage a
multi-generational vision within the two handed
gospel approach. These are more fully practiced in
FAAGRIC’S projects and programs.
Health & Wellness
The rate of mortality has increased in many areas of
the world including our current
station in Isuochi,
Nigeria. Our hope is to bring a message of hope that
by making certain lifestyle changes, one can increase
in sound health and improve the vitality of life. We accomplish this through teaching the basics of
Physiological Nutrition.
